Wireless Home Theater

Wires and cables are necessary evil when it comes to all sort of audio and home theater systems. Although they are still necessary for providing enough power some home theater systems are already come very close to something that can be named as wireless home theater.

Until recently a term "wireless home theater" usually means a home theater kit where (usually) the rear speakers communicate via 2.4 GHz frequency with an amplifier. This would avoid the unwanted task of wiring the rear speakers with an amplifier. So you end up with "wirefull" home theater with a distant speakers (still connected to each other and conventionally powered'some of them have a battery with a limited power). Wireless thing means that speakers aren't connected to the amplifier with a wire but via radio frequency resulting in a modest to poor performance. Anybody knows that with wireless phone you are still able to talk but with a wired one the sound is far better. But technology still hasn't spoken its last word….

So wireless home theater in above story is an ordinary one with wireless speakers. Although that might work for some room configuration (when you want to have your rear speakers behind you) it is not the real wireless home theater.

With a possibility of streaming up to 60Mbps of synchronous data it can handle all of the latest HD-Video and sound formats easily. This wireless home theater is using H.264 transport video format - the most advanced video format available today.
Distance and walls were main obstacles for all wireless systems. Well this one should have no prob within 200 feet and several walls according to their technical data. And it would not interfere with other wireless devices.
