Home theater system right in your own living room

Relaxing while watching movies is everybody's favorite sport. You can easily forget about everyday worries and leave all your problems behind you. The sound and the quality of picture makes you feel like an actor himself - and this is the most entertaining part of the movie experience. And if you can do this at home that's even better.

Lately all these technology became available for ordinary people like you and me. Large LCD TV sets, quality speakers and high speed DVD players are no longer reachable for upper class only. Due to this a good number of American homes are less interested in cinemas and are more inclined to home theaters. With a further evolution of home theater systems and dropping their prices almost daily this trend will increase.

Home theater system - Basic components

Three basic components you will need for your home theater system:

large TV set
DVD player
three speakers

With these home theater system components you will build your home theater with ease. Spend 50% of your budget on a quality and big enough TV set. When I said big it doesn't mean to pick a biggest you can find in a local TV store. Take into account a size of your room and a distance from a home theater seating. All that can be applied on speakers as well. While a minimum number of speakers should be not less then three, you can add ten or even more speakers - it all depends on your budget and a size of your room. For a complete theatrical experience in your home theater system you should purchase a subwoofer as well - a surround sound will be much more like in a real cinema.

You can spend a fortune for home entertainment furniture and leather settings. But your living room settings will do if a budget doesn't suppose to be spend a separate room made just for your home theater system. But if you do have a dedicated room for your home theater system then I suppose that you have also a budget for a quality equipment. then you want to add more high quality brand speakers - you can add up to 10 speakers - it depends on your configuration and a size of your room. Basic DVD player wont just do any more - take into consideration a DVD player with a built in hard disk (if your TV set doesn't have one already). Large LCD or plasma TV would be a must for these type of home theater systems.
