Bose Home Theater

The Bose home theater is a home theater which contains audio equipment from the company Bose. Bose is a company which is based in Massachusetts, and in addition to home theaters, its products are also used in space shuttles, the broadway theater, and large stadiums. The company was founded in 1964, and its 2005 revenue was in excess of $1 billion. The company is known for developing audio equipment for luxury vehicles.

In addition to working with audio, which is its specialty, Bose also conducts research in exotic areas such as cold fusion. This isn't surprising when one learns that the founder of the company was an electrical engineer. Bose has contracts with NASA, as well as various branches of the U.S. military. The Bose home theater is known for its high quality sound. Bose uses a speaker design in which eight out of nine small drivers are aimed at the wall which sits behind the speaker, while the other driver will be aimed to the front.

This allows for the reflected sound to be dominant over the direct sound within the home, and this design allows for the speakers to replicate the type of sound fields that a listener would encounter at a live performance. The success of Bose speakers has allowed the company to expand nationwide, and while it didn't open its first store until 1993, it now has approximately 160 stores located around the United States. All of these stores offer the Bose home theater system.

Each Bose store will contain its own theater, and this theater can hold a maximum of 25 seats. When sitting in this theater, viewers will be treated to a short movie which shows how the Bose home theater works. A high quality LCD projector will typically be used during these screenings. If the store happens to be located within a factory outlet, discount prices may be offered to customers for various products. When it comes to audio for cars, Bose specializes in producing audio systems for exotic automobiles such as the Ferrari.

Bose is also responsible for the development of a number of proprietary technologies, some of which are Acoustimass Technology, Acoustic Noise Cancellation, and Direct/Reflecting technology. Many, if not all of these technologies have been incorporating into their Bose home theater systems. The company also makes industry standard speaker systems for professional musicians, and some of these include the 25SE and the 402.
